Self-Care and Energy Leaks

Published on: 21st January, 2024

Jill recently sent Linda an image inside a book she was reading and, in true fashion, Linda setup an unplanned and spontaneous episode to chat all about it for the podcast. The book is called In the Flo by Alisa Vitti who presents a biohacking program for women, teaching them how to use their natural 28-day cycle to optimize their time, diet, fitness, work, and relationships. In her book she asks the question, where is your energy leaking? There are so many ways that our energy gets depleted, making self-care critical as mamas. We have explored further together chat about:

• Not being in our peak flow state, leading to overwhelm and stress.

• Sleep deprivation

• Boundaries. Yes, that word again.

• Allowing other people to help us.

• The importance of fitness and what happens when we skip or think it can wait.

• Food and meals as a mama.

• Tracking our days and how we are spending our spare time.

• Reflection on our own identity leaks and making sure we continue to check-in and talk about them.

Do you relate? These conversations are here to shift and shake us into change. We would love to hear from you, it always encourages us to know you are listening along!

About the Podcast

Mucked Up My Self-Care Podcast
Real, Raw and Unedited Conversations From Two Global Moms/Mums
A podcast for moms about the real, raw, and unscripted perspectives of guilt-free self-care by two moms across the globe. This unedited podcast is real life and their personal experiences told in friendly conversation style. Advocating for all moms who have mucked up their self care.

There are so many others out there that aren't successfully solving the real problem of trying to figure out what self-care is. We want to bring to light the reality of what self-care can look like for moms who struggle to fit it in, don't know what will work for them, and the ways that it hasn't worked. We want to have conversations about the guilt we feel when we are pressured to mother ourselves when we don't know how and aren't given the support to in our society today.
