Episode 3

Has Working from Home Changed How You Practice Self-Care?

Published on: 14th May, 2023

On some crazy level, both Jill and Linda manage to work from home around the muckness of children, life and self-care. It sometimes looks like children on your lap at 2am after you’ve napped to get to that Zoom call from the other side of the world. It sometimes looks like having a toddler on your lap while recording a podcast (the proof is inside this very episode!). And sometimes it looks like just surrendering to it all and mucking up again and again and again. Whether you are a work at home mum, or once was one, or even considering the idea, listen along as Jill and Linda chat about:

Adaptive self-care, interruptions and all. What that means to us and how we work around what we need to.

Benefits of working from home. Naps, comfort food, frizzy hair, unsmellable through the screen and rolling with all the snot and sneezes in the process!

Choice. While there is a great deal of responsibility as an ‘mompreneur’, we are nourishing our soul on many levels by allowing ourselves to create our lives in a way which really suits us. Choosing our own hours and being able to shift locations around our own homes.

We would love to hear from you, it always encourages us to know you are listening along!

About the Podcast

Mucked Up My Self-Care Podcast
Real, Raw and Unedited Conversations From Two Global Moms/Mums
A podcast for moms about the real, raw, and unscripted perspectives of guilt-free self-care by two moms across the globe. This unedited podcast is real life and their personal experiences told in friendly conversation style. Advocating for all moms who have mucked up their self care.

There are so many others out there that aren't successfully solving the real problem of trying to figure out what self-care is. We want to bring to light the reality of what self-care can look like for moms who struggle to fit it in, don't know what will work for them, and the ways that it hasn't worked. We want to have conversations about the guilt we feel when we are pressured to mother ourselves when we don't know how and aren't given the support to in our society today.
