Self-Care Needs Self-Awareness

Published on: 25th August, 2024

What does being self-aware mean? And why does it matter? Jill and Linda are exploring these very questions and more in today's episode of the Mucked Up My Self-Care episode. Listen in as we share our highs and lows, ride the conversation, and talk about:

  • Recognising our personal needs and those of our children and others around us.
  • Finding the balance between our kids becoming self-aware and still being there for them (while keeping our sanity in the process)
  • Understanding basic needs and thinking in the moment.
  • Being in tune with our bodies and needs. Specifically in pregnancy, physical fitness and strength, foods that we are eating.

We would love to open up the conversation and see what has been stirred up for you. We have been sharing self-care ideas throughout our episodes and if you would like to find out more, we would love you to reach out to us at muckedupmyselfcarepodcast@gmail.com.

Until next week – we hope you can unstuck your muck!

About the Podcast

Mucked Up My Self-Care Podcast
Real, Raw and Unedited Conversations From Two Global Moms/Mums
A podcast for moms about the real, raw, and unscripted perspectives of guilt-free self-care by two moms across the globe. This unedited podcast is real life and their personal experiences told in friendly conversation style. Advocating for all moms who have mucked up their self care.

There are so many others out there that aren't successfully solving the real problem of trying to figure out what self-care is. We want to bring to light the reality of what self-care can look like for moms who struggle to fit it in, don't know what will work for them, and the ways that it hasn't worked. We want to have conversations about the guilt we feel when we are pressured to mother ourselves when we don't know how and aren't given the support to in our society today.
