Outspoken Self-Care

Published on: 3rd March, 2024

As we are fast approaching the year anniversary of the Mucked Up My Self-Care Podcast, Jill and Linda reflect on just how important it has been to speak their self-care out loud. What do we mean by that? Honesty and realisations, actions and beliefs,  to name a few. By being outspoken we have both developed and grown through conversations on this podcast. Listen in as we talk about:

  • The vulnerability that comes with sharing our stories out loud and knowing that we often aren’t the only one.
  • Actions that are supporting our self-care celebrations such as books, podcasts, community events and ways we are speaking to ourselves.
  • Why talking can help greatly at times in our lives we may not know what self-care can be for ourselves and have a misconception of what brings our energy back to us.
  • How speaking our self-care our loud can help us understand and realise what we might need to do to improve or accept ourselves more.
  • The ongoing effort of outspoken self-care.
  • Rejuvenating ourselves with self-care.

We would love to hear from you, it always encourages us to know you are listening along!

About the Podcast

Mucked Up My Self-Care Podcast
Real, Raw and Unedited Conversations From Two Global Moms/Mums
A podcast for moms about the real, raw, and unscripted perspectives of guilt-free self-care by two moms across the globe. This unedited podcast is real life and their personal experiences told in friendly conversation style. Advocating for all moms who have mucked up their self care.

There are so many others out there that aren't successfully solving the real problem of trying to figure out what self-care is. We want to bring to light the reality of what self-care can look like for moms who struggle to fit it in, don't know what will work for them, and the ways that it hasn't worked. We want to have conversations about the guilt we feel when we are pressured to mother ourselves when we don't know how and aren't given the support to in our society today.
