How our Self-Care has Grown Since Our Earlier Episodes

Published on: 12th May, 2024

As we’ve hit the year mark for the Mucked Up My Self-Care Podcast Jill and Linda are chatting about (and reflecting on) how our self-care has grown since our earlier episodes. As humans, we are continually healing, growing, and mucking up – yet how does self-care fit into that picture? We recognise that we are not the only ones on this journey and share our thoughts as we chat about:

  • Some of our most memorable moments and episodes to date.
  • Being able to talk about self-care with family, friends and others with more confidence now.
  • Ways that we continue to muck up making self-care happen in our lives
  • Acceptance of mucked up self-care rather than getting it 'right'.
  • Momentum and motivation for self-care activities and getting into the flow of self-care.
  • The wisdom of what self-care is for us now versus what we thought it was.

Our self-care idea for this episode is stretching. Sounds simple? We often are carrying a lot on our shoulders and forget the most basic of stretching. We would love to hear from you, it always encourages us to know you are listening along! Until next week – we hope you can unstuck your muck!

About the Podcast

Mucked Up My Self-Care Podcast
Real, Raw and Unedited Conversations From Two Global Moms/Mums
A podcast for moms about the real, raw, and unscripted perspectives of guilt-free self-care by two moms across the globe. This unedited podcast is real life and their personal experiences told in friendly conversation style. Advocating for all moms who have mucked up their self care.

There are so many others out there that aren't successfully solving the real problem of trying to figure out what self-care is. We want to bring to light the reality of what self-care can look like for moms who struggle to fit it in, don't know what will work for them, and the ways that it hasn't worked. We want to have conversations about the guilt we feel when we are pressured to mother ourselves when we don't know how and aren't given the support to in our society today.
