Unravelling Our Own Mucked Up Self-Care

Published on: 28th April, 2024

Today on the podcast Jill and Linda are unravelling and unpacking their journeys of self-care in all the mucked up kinda ways. Linda is in a different location; Jill is feeling just a bit flat – yet…. after this episode they were both in a lighter and much better place (and we hope that you might be too!). Listen in as they talk about:

  • Navigating big moments in life, puzzling emotions and how we put our best foot forward for whatever is next.
  • How unravelling ourselves doesn’t have an end point and continues as we grow and shift.
  • Pain points and untwisting ourselves from what we get used to as life changes.
  • Different coping mechanisms and how we are honouring ourselves in self-care instead of putting it off.
  • Compromises and unravelling how the out of the ordinary can sacrifice our self-care.
  • How unravelling is a process and takes time, patience and remembering that pain points can be temporary and lead to better outcomes.

For more ideas when figuring out how to unravel when it comes to self-care, please send us an email, we put together some activities for you to guide and help you along the way.

Until next week – we hope you can unstuck your muck!

About the Podcast

Mucked Up My Self-Care Podcast
Real, Raw and Unedited Conversations From Two Global Moms/Mums
A podcast for moms about the real, raw, and unscripted perspectives of guilt-free self-care by two moms across the globe. This unedited podcast is real life and their personal experiences told in friendly conversation style. Advocating for all moms who have mucked up their self care.

There are so many others out there that aren't successfully solving the real problem of trying to figure out what self-care is. We want to bring to light the reality of what self-care can look like for moms who struggle to fit it in, don't know what will work for them, and the ways that it hasn't worked. We want to have conversations about the guilt we feel when we are pressured to mother ourselves when we don't know how and aren't given the support to in our society today.
