Making Time for Self-Care

Published on: 6th October, 2024

How do we incorporate self-care into our busy lives? It’s a question that mamas across the world possibly ask countless times every day. Jill and Linda are making time today to have this conversation as they touch on their personal journeys and what they have learnt along the way. Tune in to hear about:

  • Is self-care easier to plan on the calendar or leave white space available for it?
  • Saying yes to self-care can sometimes mean saying no to other things.
  • Sometimes, we think self-care takes longer than it does.
  • The time we spend thinking about self-care compared to doing it can be significant, and it requires some honest examination.
  • Motivation? Does this matter?
  • Life demands always seem to be more important.
  • Mothers' needs (self-care) often take a backseat to others.

We continue to learn and do our best, especially when making time for self-care. We would love you to join the conversations and email us at muckedupmyselfcare@gmail.com with any questions, suggestions, or comments from this episode.

About the Podcast

Mucked Up My Self-Care Podcast
Real, Raw and Unedited Conversations From Two Global Moms/Mums
A podcast for moms about the real, raw, and unscripted perspectives of guilt-free self-care by two moms across the globe. This unedited podcast is real life and their personal experiences told in friendly conversation style. Advocating for all moms who have mucked up their self care.

There are so many others out there that aren't successfully solving the real problem of trying to figure out what self-care is. We want to bring to light the reality of what self-care can look like for moms who struggle to fit it in, don't know what will work for them, and the ways that it hasn't worked. We want to have conversations about the guilt we feel when we are pressured to mother ourselves when we don't know how and aren't given the support to in our society today.
