Changes in Our Self Care

Published on: 17th December, 2023

As we approach a new year, Jill and Linda are feeling reflective today and thinking about changes. How their self-care has changed since having children, since starting this episode. Growth requires change and our lives can feel like such a Groundhog Day at times, we believe it’s important to have conversations which recognise, highlight, and appreciate the changes for us and other mamas across the world. Listen in as we chat about:

  • Ways in which we recognise our own needs and how it can be changed when it comes to self-care.
  • Priorities. Still, we find ourselves filling other cups before our own and learning to accept changes and be as flexible as possible.
  • No brainer commitments to self-care and how that has changed for us.
  • How we make the changes.
  • What is or isn't working.
  • Tangible things we are doing to make life easier/better/more enjoyable.
  • How we spend our spare time is a good indicator sometimes of what we want and enjoy.

We would love to hear from you, it always encourages us to know you are listening along!

About the Podcast

Mucked Up My Self-Care Podcast
Real, Raw and Unedited Conversations From Two Global Moms/Mums
A podcast for moms about the real, raw, and unscripted perspectives of guilt-free self-care by two moms across the globe. This unedited podcast is real life and their personal experiences told in friendly conversation style. Advocating for all moms who have mucked up their self care.

There are so many others out there that aren't successfully solving the real problem of trying to figure out what self-care is. We want to bring to light the reality of what self-care can look like for moms who struggle to fit it in, don't know what will work for them, and the ways that it hasn't worked. We want to have conversations about the guilt we feel when we are pressured to mother ourselves when we don't know how and aren't given the support to in our society today.
